About Us

After searching the globe for an ideal place to plant vines with the aim of making high quality wines, Bellarmine Wines was founded in 2000 on a picturesque property in the pristine cool climate region of Pemberton, South-West Western Australia.

Since our first vintage in 2004, our wines have received many awards and accolades. Red 5 Star rated By James Halliday, in Hallidays' Top 100 Wineries of Australia, we are also in Huon Hookes' Top Wineries of Australia as rated by the Real Review team.

Our flagship wines are our Rieslings made in 3 different styles - dry, half-dry with approximately 25g/L residual sugar, and select our sweetest wine with approximately 65g/L residual sugar. Our Rieslings are sought after and age beautifully developing toasty honeyed notes over the years.

In the range there is also Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay - hero varieties of the Pemberton region. In reds we make Pinot Noir which does really well in this cool climate region, and on our rockiest most iron-rich part of the vineyard we produce excellent concentrated Shiraz and Petit Verdot.

The wines are made by winemaker Di Miller who has a passion for global wines and studies and tastes regularly to benchmark the Bellarmine wines against others of their ilk. "Like a chef needs good ingredients, the winemaker is very fortunate when they have such a remarkable vineyard to source fruit from".
